The British Iranian Business and Professional Society conducts regular events. At each event, in addition to exchange of information amongst the members and their guests, a prominent guest speaker is invited to address the gathering on a topical issue of common interest. Previous guest speakers have included leading personalities from the world of business, politics, academia and arts.

    Anjoman Aug 2026 Event, Leadership in a Changing World - An Interactive Online Discussion

    Join us for an inspiring evening as we explore what effective leadership looks like in today's rapidly changing world. Together, we'll discuss how leaders can navigate global challenges, embrace diversity, lead multicultural teams, and prepare for the future. Three of our long term members will be providing expert analysis and guidance. The presenters are: 

    Professor Masoud Golshani-Shirazi 

    Masoud has over 40 years of experience in leadership, having lived in 8 countries and worked in 26 cultures, spanning energy, telecom, 

    banking , FMCG, retail and manufacturing sectors. He has been a senior executive with big brands such as Coca-Cola, Vodafone, BT/EE and Ericsson. He set up and managed his own retail chain, as well as working in 4 large global family-business. His claim to fame are leading many successful large transformation, M&A and start-up programmes.

    He is currently the Professor of Global Leadership and advisory board member at Leeds Business School, Group HRD and head of transformation at Island Energy Group, MD of On Target Consultancy, and advisory board member at Al Yasra. In recent years he has been an Interim Director of Talent at BT Consumer, HRD at Velos, and chairman/shareholder of Airocide UK. His qualifications include, an MBA, Fellow of CIPD, PG Diploma in HR, BPS Level B, NLP Master Practitioner, plus various executive programmes at IMD, LBS, Cranfield and others. Masoud is a global transformation leader combining senior corporate roles with academic and consultancy credentials, but his main focus has always been on leadership development.

    Mohit Mamudi 

    After a short stint at the Iranian Oil Exploration and Production Company seconded to Arthur D Little Management Consultancy and a career with Procter and Gamble working in Switzerland, UK and Iran as brand manager and marketing director, Mohit Mamudi became the founder and Executive Chairman of Amacom group of marketing services companies. With local operations across the Middle East, Central Europe, Russia and Ukraine the group offered strategic marketing consultancy and advertising services to many major multinationals, including more than a dozen Fortune 500 corporations.

    Following retirement from Amacom, Mohit established the nonprofit Centre for Development Management Studies (CEDEMAS), promoting culture-sensitive management training in developing countries, based on decades of experience in diverse markets from Asia to Latin America. He has lectured extensively on management and leadership topics in academic institutions and conferences in the UK, India, Iran Nepal, Russia and China. Among his publications are “Globalisation and Socially Responsible Capitalism” and “Back to Basics – Marketing in CIS (Ex-Soviet Union)”. Mohit is currently a trustee of Caspian Cultural Centre.

    Mahmoud Haidari 

    Mahmoud is a Diagnostic Strategic Business Development Consultant for a select number of family-owned SME’s, Mahmoud is a retired International Business Executive. During his close to 30 years professional career Mahmoud has been engaged in varied roles in national and international business and professional arena. Mahmoud’s international business career with SCJ, includes Marketing Support Manager for Africa / Near east region ( covering 4 manufacturing and 5 Trading operations), Area Director Africa Near east including Turkey, Director of Business Development Asia Pacific Region, CEO/Managing Director SCJ Indian sub-continent, Assistant Vice President & Global Business Development Director South East Asia including Pakistan where he established SC. Johson & Son of Pakistan limited and worked as its Chairman and CEO living in Karachi- Pakistan during the three years before retirement.

    With an MBA from Thames valley University UK, and post graduate degree in Education form Plymouth University including a period of Lecturing / teaching Strategic Management in various colleges under the Cornwall College umbrella.

    Mahmoud is a founder member of Anjoman (British Iranian Business and Professional Society), an active member of Chartered Institute of Management CMI, and member of Society for Education & Training (SET). As a charitable contribution, Mahmoud runs virtual teaching / learning classes on “Universal Declaration of Human Rights” in Farsi and English, and a series of lectures on “Understanding Political Theories” for interested groups and institutions.

    A joint Anjoman and BIMA networking event at iconic RAC club, bringing together professionals from Health, creative and business communities.

    A festive Yalda celebration with music, poetry and community, marking the longest night of the year.
