How to navigate your way through the financial maze: Wellbeing of Women

The Main Speaker: Mr Jafad Omid

Jafar Omid is the Chief Operating Officer and Portfolio Manager at Pentagon Capital Management, a long established London based Multi Strategy hedge fund.

Mr Omid has had a long career in the financial advisory and investment business. He graduated in 1980 with a joint honours degree in Mathematics and Computer Sciences, and then trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985. He later became the managing partner of a firm of Chartered Accountants. Mr Omid was a founding partner of Booth Anderson Investment Services, Pentagon’s predecessor, an investment management and advisory firm established in 1993.

In the last ten years, Mr Omid has specialised in systematic trading, management of a well diversified hedge fund and sourcing and evaluating proprietary trades for an asset based lending fund.


The Pre-Dinner Speaker: Ms Liz Campbell

Liz Campbell is the Director of Wellbeing of Women, WoW, the charity dedicating to solving the health problems which only affect women. WoW is 44 years old and Liz has been their Director since spring of 2006. Liz’s ambition for Wellbeing of Women is to increase the research, training and information it enables and thereby improve women’s lives, throughout the world..

Prior to joining Wellbeing Liz was an Independent Member, vice Chairman and Chairman of the Surrey Police Authority and National Lead for Professional Standards and Probationer Training and a member of Police Negotiating Board. Previously, Liz was a non Executive Director of two NHS Trusts, owned and ran an industrial employment agency, served as trustee and fundraiser for a number of charities and was an HR professional in the construction industry.
