Martin Johnston is the Director General of the British-Iranian Chamber of Commerce, which gives him a particularly unique insight into the business aspects of the present relationship between the UK and Iran.

Martin Johnson has had a varied career, with extensive experience in many corporate functions including management, marketing, sales, Human Resources and financial responsibilities in a wide array of industries such as insurance, leisure, steel and banking. At Lloyds Bank, he came to know Iran through his work, particularly in running a project finance and financial sector advisory consultancy.

He was the Independent Member of the Audit Committee at Thames Valley University for a number of years and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
