| BACKGROUND TO MAIN SESSION |
David Rubin qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982, having already developed a keen
interest in the field of insolvency. He began the practice of David Rubin & Partners in 1984
and decided to specialise in business recovery and forensic litigation support. Since then, he
has concentrated almost exclusively on under-performing businesses.
David’s primary tasks are to ensure that all members of his team demonstrate a high level of
professionalism and technical expertise; that all legal and other regulations are complied
with; and, of course, a fast response to all client’s needs.
Apart from the administration of the Practice, he is also actively involved in technical issues,
case work and litigation support. He very much enjoys the challenge of the forensic side of
insolvency and his work often involves litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
David has long been a keen advocate of “the rescue culture”. He regularly writes and
lectures on turnaround issues, as well as being heavily involved in training within the
profession. He is a Council Member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals
(R3) and has chaired the Education, Courses and Conferences Committee and the Smaller
Practice Issues Committee of the Association. He currently chairs the Smaller Practice
Issues Committee of INSOL International (SPIC INSOL).
In his spare time, David’s hobbies include tennis, skiing, restoring classic cars and playing
the piano. |
